A recognised figure in the South African fashion world where he’s known to most as Adi, the fashion bug first bit when Heneke was just a youngster. After cutting his own ties on his mom’s kitchen table, he knew the industry was for him, and has since worked as a textile agent, in commercial manufacturing as well as co-founder of the popular Wylde Oscar and bluecollarwhitecollar clothing brands.
Adrian has now launched Billynow, a designer clothing brand for men that want to have style but find it hard to find off a standard clothing rack. The brand has several elements to its ready-to-wear collection. “Our focus is on fit, fabric and detail that will make you proud,” says Heneke, a second-generation tailor with over 24 years behind him in the clothing business. I think it’s an important and much needed product in SA. “I want the guys to feel like hero’s and give them the extra love, which included all the bells and whistles of a boutique experience.”
Billynow will also include a bespoke offering, which Heneke says is based on tailoring shirts that are comfortable and have personality. Visit with him in his studio and talk fashion and the value of style, comfort and individuality in men’s clothing.
