The Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town is ideally positioned to showcase the incredible diversity of marine life found in these two oceans. The Aquarium is one of the top tourist attractions in Cape Town and over 3000 living sea animals, including sharks, assorted fishes, turtles and penguins that can be seen in this spectacular underwater nature reserve.

The I&J Ocean Exhibit holds 1.6 million liters of seawater at a temperature of between 20 and 24 degrees Celsius. The depth of the exhibit stands at 6m. It is the first exhibit of its kind in South Africa to boast a full 10m long tunnel, with the main viewing window a continuous 9m x 4m panel, and home to ambassador rescue turtles and an array of other fish. The recently opened Predator Tank holds nine ragged-tooth sharks that serve as ambassadors for their species, primarily playing an educational and awareness role.

We will take you here for a walk through the Jelly Gallery that houses various jelly species in a novel and mesmerising way, to visit the sharks and by arrangement, on a behind the scenes tour to learn more about the workings and conservation efforts focused on here.

Cape Town’s Two Oceans Aquarium allows a look into the spectacular oceans surrounding the southern African coast in Cape Town. The southern tip of the African continent is the meeting place of two mighty and bountiful oceans, the Indian and the Atlantic.
