A special whale watching experience with marine biologist

Hermanus is rich in magnificent scenery; with its incomparable natural beauty, modern infrastructure, upmarket shops and endless adventure options, it is no wonder that it has transformed into a bustling hub of activity in and out of season and is an ideal location for an unforgettable holiday.

Built up along the beautiful shores of Walker Bay and the official Whale Watching Capital of the World, Hermanus is surrounded by majestic mountains and indigenous Fynbos, and has interesting restaurants, attractions and residents as the heart and soul of the town.

Between June and December each year, this is where the Southern Right Whales can be seen. About 60 to 100 of these magnificent animals come here from Antarctica to breed and rear their young.

You can be treated to close up displays from the shoreline, or opt to take a boat out to get a closer look at them spy-hopping, breaching and lob-tailing in the cool waters. You tell us what you prefer.
